Yarra Gold Estate is located at the heart of the Yarra Valley, a premier cool climate vine growing region in Australia. It is a small family-owned business aiming to meet the needs of those looking for individuality and exclusiveness.

Yarra Gold's strategy is to produce small quantities of high quality boutique wines. It endeavors to grow the best quality grapes in its own low-yield vineyards. The cool climate of the Yarra Valley allows to achieve this objective. The grapes are hand picked and processed using old-fashioned wine making methods in order to maintain full body and deep colours in the wines.

Yarra Gold only produces only small limited edition wines. The focus of the Yarra Gold is certainly on quality rather than quantity. The yield of the vineyard is significantly lower than similar vineyards in the Yarra Valley region. At the completion of the harvest large quantities of grapes will be left on the vines because grape bunches are selectively hand picked and any bunch not meeting the strict standards of Yarra Gold will be rejected.

Most of the 2003 vintage was sold within 3 months after release. Only limited number of bottles from 2003 vintage are still available. Due to limited quantities, Yarra Gold Estate is now taking orders for 2004 and 2005 vintages. For details visit our Gold Club.
